Privacy First Design

MyLifts is built with privacy at its core. By default, your workout data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to enable Cloud Sync, your data is securely transmitted to sync across your devices.

1. Information We Collect

MyLifts is designed to respect your privacy. We do NOT collect:

  • Location data
  • Device identifiers for tracking
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Health or biometric data

If you enable Cloud Sync: We collect and store your workout data (exercises, sets, reps, weights, and routines) on our secure servers to sync across your devices. This is entirely optional and only occurs if you explicitly enable the Cloud Sync feature. You can disable Cloud Sync at any time, and your data will remain stored locally on your device.

2. Data Storage

Local Storage (Default): By default, all your workout data, including exercises, sets, reps, weights, and custom routines, is stored exclusively on your device. This data is managed by your device's operating system and is only accessible to the MyLifts app.

Cloud Sync (Optional): If you enable Cloud Sync, your workout data is transmitted to and stored on our secure servers to allow syncing across multiple devices. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can disable Cloud Sync at any time in the app settings.

3. No Account Required

MyLifts does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. You can start tracking your workouts immediately after installation without any registration process.

4. Data Export

You have complete control over your data. MyLifts provides an export feature that allows you to download all your workout data in CSV format at any time. This exported data is stored on your device and is yours to keep.

5. Third-Party Services

MyLifts does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share any information with third parties because we don't collect any.

6. App Store Information

When you download MyLifts from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms may collect information as described in their respective privacy policies. MyLifts has no access to or control over this information.

7. Children's Privacy

MyLifts does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we don't collect data, there is no special treatment required for children's information.

8. Offline Functionality

MyLifts works completely offline. No internet connection is required to use the app, log workouts, or access your data. If you have Cloud Sync enabled, your data will sync when you next connect to the internet.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of those changes.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, including the Privacy Act 2020. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
